Terms of service

Last updated August 30, 2026

These terms are between you and [BUSINESS NAME], [BUSINESS ADDRESS], which operates Ownbot at ownbot.co. By creating an account you agree to them.

What the service is

Ownbot lets you create an AI chat assistant by writing instructions and optionally attaching knowledge files. Each assistant gets a public link. Visitors open that link and chat with your assistant. Each visitor message uses one credit from your balance. When your balance reaches zero your assistants tell visitors they've reached their limit until you top up.

Your account

  • You are responsible for keeping your sign-in details secure and for everything done through your account.
  • You must give an email address you control, and you must be old enough to enter a contract where you live.
  • You are responsible for the content of your assistants' instructions, knowledge files and replies.
  • One person or organisation per account. Don't share credentials.

Acceptable use

Your use of Ownbot is subject to our acceptable use policy, which forms part of these terms.

Your content is yours

Your assistants, instructions, greetings, knowledge files and any leads you collect belong to you. We claim no ownership. We store and process them only to run the service for you, which includes sending them to our AI provider as context when generating a reply. You can export an assistant's full contents at any time from its share screen.

Suspension

We may suspend or remove an assistant, or suspend your account, if we believe it breaks the acceptable use policy, harms visitors, or puts the service at risk. Where the situation allows it we'll tell you why and give you a chance to fix it. Suspension for abuse does not entitle you to a refund.

Payments and refunds

Purchases are sold and processed through WarriorPlus. Our refund terms are set out in the refund policy.

Provided as is

The service is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't promise uninterrupted availability, and we don't promise that AI-generated replies will be accurate or fit for a particular purpose. See the disclaimer.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost data or lost business, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Changes

We may update these terms. When we do we'll change the "last updated" date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the new terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of [GOVERNING LAW JURISDICTION], and any dispute will be handled by the courts of that jurisdiction.
