Privacy policy

Account data we hold

• Your email address, from sign-up or from Google sign-in.
• Your plan and your credit balance.
• Purchase records: the item bought, the transaction id, the payment email from the receipt, the date, and whether it was refunded.
• Basic technical data needed to run the service, such as the IP address a request came from, used for rate limiting and abuse prevention.

Your assistants and knowledge files

The instructions you write and the text extracted from files you upload are stored in our database and are sent to Anthropic's API as context each time your assistant generates a reply. If you don't want something processed that way, don't put it in an assistant's instructions or knowledge files.

Conversations on public assistant pages

Conversations on your assistants' public pages are stored, including the messages visitors type and the replies generated. They're stored so the assistant can hold a conversation and so you can see how your assistant is being used. Visitors are identified only by a random session id generated in their browser — we don't ask them to create an account.

Email addresses collected through the email gate

If you turn on the email gate, visitors enter an email address before chatting. Those visitors are not our users. We store those addresses on your behalf so you can export them. You are responsible for how you contact them, for having a lawful basis to do so, and for honouring their opt-outs. If a visitor asks us to remove their address, we'll pass the request to you and remove it from your leads.

Third-party AI provider

Replies are generated by Anthropic's API. Assistant instructions, knowledge file text and the recent conversation are sent to Anthropic for that purpose. We don't sell your data, and we don't use your assistant content to train models.

Retention and deletion

• Assistants, knowledge files, conversations and leads are kept until you delete them. Deleting an assistant deletes its files, conversations and leads.
• Deleting your account removes your profile, assistants, files, conversations and leads.
• Purchase records are kept for accounting and tax purposes, with the personal details anonymised when you delete your account.
• Webhook and abuse-prevention logs are kept for up to 12 months.

You can delete an assistant from its edit screen, and delete your whole account from the account page. You can also email us to request deletion.

Cookies and local storage

• A session cookie / local storage entry holds your sign-in session so you stay logged in.
• On a gated assistant page, a gate access token is stored in the visitor's browser so they don't have to enter their email again on every message.
• We don't use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
